Who We Are

We are a legal tech company incubating within a law firm.

We expect to transform litigation analysis and resolution. We want to demolish the unsophisticated and “gut methodology” that traditional lawyers use to set strategy and advise clients. 

We believe that litigation analysis should be structured, transparent, and collaborative. We want to deliver quantitative data, structured analysis, and better reporting to clients.

We’re building a better and smarter way to analyze and resolve disputes.

We launched our tax module with Counter's litigation team in 2018 and we are building out our new requirements for a commercial launch in 2019. We are looking for more people to join and help make our vision a reality.

Angular & Node.JS Developer

We are looking for an analytical problem solver to design and implement new ideas and features to launch our flagship product, CounterMeasure.

CounterMeasure is a SaaS litigation analysis tool designed to change how lawyers work and resolve disputes.

The Role

You will work in a small team (4 – 6 people) focused on improving our existing CounterMeasure prototype to launch a commercial product in 2019. In particular, you will:

  • work on front-end, back-end, and API development;

  • apply your knowledge of Angular and Node.JS to improve current content;

  • create and revising wireframes and technical design for future development;

  • find the best solutions to implement new business logic and calculations;

  • spot and solve potential issues that could impact product scalability;

  • find ways to improve code standards and templates;

  • improve performance metrics and work to exceed memory management standards;

  • test code implementation and check for errors;

  • fix bugs and resolve Jira tickets;

  • listen to customer feedback and understand pain points; and

  • find solutions and suggest new features.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent

  • Experience in building single page applications

  • Node JS 8

  • Angular 5

  • MySQL

  • Good problem solver (focus on the solution, not the problem)

  • Pride in writing testable, modular, maintainable, simple, and well-documented code

UX Designer

We are looking for a passionate, user-centric, creative thinker to design and implement new ideas and features to launch our flagship product, CounterMeasure.

CounterMeasure is a SaaS litigation analysis tool designed to change how lawyers work and resolve disputes.

The Role

You will work in a small team (4 – 6 people) focused on improving our existing CounterMeasure prototype to launch a commercial product in 2019. In particular, you will

  • take complex data entry systems and create elegant customer-focused solutions;

  • find creative solutions to reduce the burden on the user;

  • iterate and test to create innovative solutions that resonate with the customer and meet brand expectations;

  • simplify and redesigning existing content and customer reports;

  • collaborate with the team to design and prototype new content;

  • prepare UX documentation and creating wireframes and storyboards for new designs;

  • design user experience testing and improving user experience scores;

  • find solutions for design bugs and resolving Jira tickets;

  • listen to user feedback and understand pain points; and

  • suggest new features.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in design or a design-related discipline

  • Passion for turning functional design requirements into high-quality, modern and intuitive customer experiences

  • Proven work experience as a UX designer

  • Strong prototyping skills and experience with wireframes and storyboards

  • Good problem solver (focus on the solution, not the problem)
